This is a lovely hotel very clean and well presented the staff here are lovely very friendly and helpful our room was lovely with nice sea views the bed was comfortable the room was spacious The pool area is lovely again well maintained and very clean with plenty of sunbeds there was no need to rush to save sunbeds as always some available any time of day I must say though the sunbeds are not very comfortable the food at the pool bar is lovely and the drinks are really good but closes at 6pm not midnight as advertised which is a shame as the sunsets are stunning from here The food in the buffet was ok the breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice the evening meal was average same as any hotel buffet got a bit repetitive nothing special The hotel itself is a bit far out there was a couple of restaurants nearby and a small shop but the nearest place is flamingo beach which is about a 20min walk the main part of Blanca is about an hour walk from the hotel or €6 in a taxi but plenty of bars shops ect The marina is really nice and the market is well worth the visit again it is quite a way out we got the bus there The hotel is very quiet no music around the pool no atmosphere no games the hotel is very quiet no one around after dinner they had a piano player a few nights but didn’t see any entertainment this hotel is mainly over 70’s We would not come back here as too quiet for us and too far from the centre

Upon arrival we were given the wrong room. Even though it was paid over 7 months ago for pool side. But was told to come back in the morning that we would be getting compensation. So we couldn’t unpack properly must have been past 9pm. The following morning was told no we weren’t getting poolside. After packing back up and leaving the wrong room. It was on the booking. But I confirmed it was again. Staff were trying to blag it saying poolside wasn’t paid for. But until I said we have family by poolside we wanted to be together, that’s why over 7 months ago we booked and paid. The tune soon changed. We got changed to some kind of poolside. Finally unpacked then had a shower in which the floor came up underneath me, and the bathroom was basically flooded. The glass shower walls were full of green water from it not being sealed properly. No where to put toiletries in the shower apart from the floor. The rooms are standard but need some maintenance. Under the beds needed cleaning bad, was thick dust and insects. Maids come in the room 5 minutes max. Make the beds, sweep the living room and lightly mop. That’s it. I didn’t walk bare foot in the bungalow, mixture of dust and shower floods. Local Spar shop 5 minutes walk. Buy packs of ice cream there not at bungalows. 3€ each. Or 4€ for pack of 4 at the shop. Fresh baguettes. The pool is fab, quiet, warm, but needs background music maybe some menus round the pool of what the restaurant/ bar offers. And what’s about the place. If you’re travelling to shops and restaurants I definitely suggest the scooters. Before leaving it’s 1€ charge to weigh cases for 10 seconds. Also didn’t receive compensation for the hassle on first arrival. But was promised compensation. Seems like reception don’t communicate. You get what you pay for. Memories, views and a ton of food.

We spent 16 nights over Christmas and New Year at the Fariones and had a great time. The Hotel is beautifully and tastefully renovated with subtle luxury in a classic mid- century design which you would typically find in smaller boutique hotels. Many old features of the traditional Fariones Hotel were kept which all together provides a very comfortable and classy and elegant atmosphere without being stuffy or fussy. The grounds and garden resemble top luxury resorts in Thailand or the Maldives with plenty of palm trees, exotic gardens and many different and private areas for lounging, sun bathing, relaxing and so on. All 3 restaurants have their own style with great food and service. All rooms have sea views with a high level of comfort, design and decoration The sports center 2 minutes walk away although a little older offered everything needed and more... The hygiene concept was professional and taken seriously Hotel Director Jörg and his team made great efforts during Christmas and New Year with a classy programme of dining, entertainment, live music and daily piano sessions which all in all provided a very festive atmosphere. The multinational team of the Fariones displayed a very positive spirit. The hotel opened only a few month before the holiday season and it seemed that everone was exited to be back in business ater 4 yers of renovation. Despite the reopening there was not a single negative service moment in over 2 weeks. Just to name a few staff members who made it a special stay for us: Arnaud, Emilie and Javier from reception.
